U4GM Diablo 4 Paladin Season 11 Reforge and Sanctify Tips

Season 11, Divine Intervention, does not just nudge Paladin builds a bit, it rips them open and rewires how you look at endgame, and if you are not paying attention to how your diablo 4 gear interacts with Reforge and Sanctification, you are going to feel that wall as soon as you leave the campaign and start pushing into serious content.

Reforge And Fixing Bad Rolls

You know that moment when a legendary drops, the item power looks great, then you check the affixes and it is just a mess. That is where Reforge actually matters now. For Paladins this season, people are not chasing random stat soup, they are laser focused on anything that directly pumps their main Core Skills. Right now Judgement and Blessed Hammers sit at the centre of most strong setups, so you are usually reforging towards flat damage to these skills, Holy damage, or anything that scales their output in a simple, obvious way. If Holy Aura is baked into your rotation, you can roll for it too, but most players treat it as support rather than the star of the show.

Making The Build Feel Smooth

A lot of Paladin builds die, not because they lack damage, but because the gameplay feels stop start. That is why Cooldown Reduction ends up so important. If you are waiting around for Judgement to come back up or for your defensive buttons to reset, you are wasting a huge chunk of the class potential. People will often burn several Reforge tries just to shave a bit more CDR off key slots. Same thing with resource: if your bar empties in the middle of a Pit run, you are just jogging around waiting to get hit. So players hunt rolls that boost resource generation or cut resource costs, then layer in Critical Chance and Critical Damage on top when they have the basics sorted. Once that core loop feels good, you can start weaving in Armor, Fortify and Barrier so the build does not fold when elite packs decide to focus you.

Sanctification And Unlocking Real Power

Sanctification feels a bit like the moment you realise your gear was only doing half of what it could. Instead of just looking at a legendary aspect and saying "ok, that is nice," you are now upgrading that effect into something that can carry entire encounters. For Judgement focused builds, Sanctifying pieces that boost Holy damage or interact with the stun and vulnerability windows can totally change how fast packs disappear. Blessed Hammers gains a ton from cooldown tweaks as well, because once you get them close to spammable, your clear speed jumps and the build suddenly feels like it belongs in high tier content. The trick is not to spread your resources across every random legendary but to pick the few items that really define how your Paladin works and push those as far as they will go.

Survival, Sets And When To Spend

On the defensive side, Sanctification can turn you into that Paladin who just refuses to die in Helltides and late game dungeons, which is why a lot of players target Fortify and Barrier scaling on chest, pants and sometimes shield. You start to notice that hits which used to chunk half your health barely move the bar. Set synergies matter a lot too this season; some legendary sets wake up only after you Sanctify them, suddenly adding bursts of damage, movement, or team utility you did not even plan for. The only real trap is blowing dust and mats on random upgrades just because they dropped at a high level. Most people do better by locking in a small set of core items, upgrading those hard, and then being willing to swap pieces out later when a new drop or a shift in the meta makes a different setup stronger or lets them pick up cheap Diablo 4 Items that fit their build more cleanly.
